Avoid them in package with NVG, save your money and your nerves. Can't belive that in Netherlands there are shameful Agencies like this one.

DO NOT RENT AN APPARTMENT HERE!! They are going to try to keep your caution by any way possible, despite having nothing to say on the checkout... After leaving the place they kept the caution for 5 months despite the contract obliging them to give it back after two... Also the appartment are poorly maintained with a lot of furniture in a rough shape or broken, do not rent there...

Via Chris van den Berg van Holland West makelaardij heb ik een appartement kunnen kopen aan de Paradijslaan in Alphen aan den Rijn. Ik ben er erg blij mee. Wat mij met name aansprak in Chris was de prettige, integere, zorgvuldige en snelle werkwijze, die hij hanteert.Dus een aanrader!

I rented an apartment through Holland West at Verbeerkstraat for 6 months, I moved out mid-September. The landlord is National Vastgoed Groep (NVG), who Holland West represents. Almost 3 months passed since moving out, and I still have not received my deposit of over 3000 euro from NVG. They don’t have any reason for withholding the deposit, according to the inspection report everything was fine. I strongly advise against renting through this company, as you may have to take legal action to retrieve your deposit. Besides, the apartments (advertised as luxury…) at Verbeekstraat are poorly maintained, hallway is smelly and dirty, furniture, flooring is beat-up, gross, smelly, dirty and old. The apartments look like they havent been renovated in 20 years at least. And of course its not possible to view the apartment before renting, they send you an old low quality video, and thats it. Walls were dirty, windows were not cleaned once while I was living there. There was a dead bird on the roof for months. When I moved in I had to clean for days to make it somewhat liveable, and even fix a few things like the shower hose. Which is funny because they deduct a “professional” cleaning fee of almost 300 from the deposit - but the apartment was completely gross.) Surrounding area is disgusting, always full of trash. Especialy for the price you pay, not worth it at all. As a bonus, they wanted to deduct 30(!) euros per each not working lightbulb from the deposit, even when those bulbs were not working from the beginning…
