It was wonderful to have the help of the Hypotheker office during the purchase of my first house in the Netherlands. With the local regulations and the language limitations it would have been impossible for me to navigate the system but the help I received made it an easier, clear and simple process. Totally worth the cost, they do hand hold you during each step of the process.

Begeleiding en advies zijn uitstekend! - Mijn hypotheekvraag week af van wat de gemiddelde eigenaar komt vragen. Ook wilde ik een hypotheek die goed bij mijn persoonlijke situatie past. De begeleiding door de vestiging Den Haag Stadhuis was erg goed. Er werd uiteraard naar de voordeligste hypotheek gezocht maar minstens zo waardevol waren de gesprekken over hoe hypotheken aansluiten op belastingen, pensioenoverzicht en uitgavenpatroon. Zo heb ik met een gerust hart de hypotheek kunnen aanvragen.
Ik ben blij dat ik deze deskundige mensen heb geraadpleegd en niet ben gaan doe-het-zelven.

I had a very good experience with DeHypotheker in Den Haag. I chose them because they were one of the few with a price chart available online and had good reviews on Trustoo. I thought they were a bit expensive at the beginning, but at the end I felt the money was very well earned.

Frank was very helpful from the very first interview, where he guided me through a world that was completely new to me. He was always available (via phone or email), answered all my questions, and during the bidding process he gave me a document saying that I could get the mortgage (all of this without having to pay, you only sign a contract with them after the bid is won, and the payment happens the day of the signature at the notary).

After the free advice and before signing with DeHypotheker I also got another quote from a reputable competitor, and I had a terrible experience (they gave me a sense of urgency, and some of my questions were answered vaguely or with contradictions - moreover, they were actually more expensive). I very happily went back to Frank and colleagues, and I appreciated them even more.

One last note: we did everything online. This was very important for me, and between all the other appointments I was glad I didn't have to cycle to an office during my lunch break. We talked twice on Teams, once for the first introductory meeting and once after my bid was accepted and I had to actually apply for a mortgage.
They (either Frank or Rutger) timely called me or sent me an email whenever some documents were missing, and ensured that everything went smoothly. I am very very happy I hired them and I would absolutely recommend them.

We arranged our mortgage with De Hypotheker Den Haag (specifically Frank van de Rijzen) because one of my work colleagues recommended them, and we couldn't be happier with this decision!

They made buying a house (normally quite stressful) almost easy. Besides being our first time buying a house, we are foreigners and don't speak Dutch (yet!), so it was a double challenge. However, Frank made it so much easier, helping us to understand everything. He was efficient in the process, available when we needed him, and kind and patient with all our questions.

If you are considering hiring their services, don't think twice. It is worth every penny. 100% recommendable.
