JW Vloeren

JW Vloeren heavily damaged my walls when sanding and oiling my floors. They did not protect the walls and cabinets while doing so. As a result, the plaster of the walls was damaged in several places and the lower part of the walls, the kitchen island and the white stairs (which were not sanded) were heavily stained with a mix of oil and wood dust. This was particularly disappointing because the walls were freshly plastered and painted. The enployee assured me that it was just dust and it would all come off but that is not the case - about 20-30% can be taken off with a cloth, for the rest I have to repaint the lower section of my walls. When I complained about the damage, the enployee kept saying that it could not have been him, while this was obvious because the walls were freshly done just before and I had personally cleaned the whole floor by hand the night before, perfectly knowing the condition of every corner. After almost an hour of arguments, they agreed to give me a (small, 15%) discount for the damage, on the condition that I paid on the spot and discharged them from any further liability. I agreed and paid. Only to get a threatening e-mail from the owner claiming the rest of the payment because he claimed that my walls were “badly plastered” and so it wasn’t their fault. This was followed by an invoice for the amount of the discount I was granted and another e-mail threatening legal action if I did not pay within 7 days. In my experience, JW Vloeren is a very unprofessional company. They decided to do the job quickly (making around 300€/hour) and not protect the walls to avoid damage. They refused liability for the damage that resulted from their job. They tried to hush me offering me a discount and pressured me to pay on the spot only to come back on their word and threaten me with legal action and inviting an expert (at my expense!!) to confirm that my walls were poorly plastered. I will most certainly never engage with this company again. It has been over a week and I am still not finished repairing and repainting the walls they destroyed.

Via Google bij JW vloeren van John terecht gekomen. Goede keuze geweest. Volgens project zeker weer bij hem onder te brengen. Na controle een kleine cosmetische herstelling nodig. Zonder problemen opgelost. Super. Bedankt.
